This policy explains what information MyOps keeps, how it is used, and who else handles it. MyOps is software owned and operated by rTheory LLC, 326 W Kalamazoo Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. It applies to everyone who uses MyOps, including the team members, clients and partners invited into a workspace.
1. What we collect
- Your account. Your name, email address, phone number if you add one, and your password, which is stored in a scrambled form that cannot be read back. We also keep your settings, such as your calendar view and theme.
- Signing in with Google. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with MyOps. That is all MyOps receives from your Google account.
- Your work. The tasks, comments, files, photos, client details, dates and other information you and your workspace put into MyOps.
- Beta access requests. The name, email address, phone number, company and role you give us when you ask to join the beta.
- Technical details. Like most websites, our server records the internet address a visit comes from, the type of browser and the pages requested. We use these records to keep MyOps running and secure.
2. Information about other people
A workspace may hold details about people who do not use MyOps themselves, such as a client’s staff named in photos, along with details like birthdays or start dates. The workspace that adds this information is responsible for having the right to do so, as described in section 7 of the Beta Terms of Use. We store it only to provide MyOps to that workspace.
3. Photos and the people in them
- Photos you add are stored as you upload them, including any details your camera saved in the file, such as the date taken and, on many phones, the location.
- People are tagged in photos by hand. A ring marks where a tagged person appears. MyOps does not use face recognition.
- To spot duplicates, MyOps compares how whole photos look. This finds repeated photos and does not identify anyone.
- When you bring photos in from Google Photos, MyOps receives only the photos you choose. Its access to your Google Photos ends within the hour, and nothing else from your library is kept.
4. How we use your information
- to provide MyOps: signing you in, showing your work to the people your workspace has given access, and sending the emails MyOps sends, such as invitations, password resets and notices about work waiting for you;
- to keep MyOps secure and to find and fix problems;
- to understand how MyOps is used, so we can improve it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. Your work is used only to provide MyOps to you and your workspace.
5. Who else handles your information
- Our hosting provider runs the servers and file storage MyOps uses, in the United States.
- Google provides sign in with Google; Google Photos, when you choose to bring photos in; page snapshots on client review pages, where the address of the page under review is sent to Google’s PageSpeed service.
- People in your workspace see what the workspace’s settings allow them to see.
We share information with anyone else only when the law requires it.
6. Cookies
MyOps uses a small number of cookies. One keeps you signed in during your visit, and, if you choose Stay signed in, keeps you signed in on that device for 30 days. A few others remember simple choices, such as which tab you last used on the sign-in page.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account or workspace is active. MyOps also makes a backup each night, stored separately from the main server. Daily backups are kept for 14 days and monthly backups for 12 months, after which they are replaced.
If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your information from MyOps, and it will leave the backups as they are replaced. Information that belongs to a workspace, such as tasks you worked on for a client, stays with that workspace.
8. Your choices
- You can view and update your account details on your Profile page at any time.
- You can ask for a copy of your work, as described in section 8 of the Beta Terms of Use.
- You can ask us to correct or delete your information by contacting admin@rtheory.co.
9. Keeping your information safe
Every connection to MyOps is encrypted. Passwords are stored in scrambled form, each workspace is open only to the people it adds, and the server is protected by a firewall that turns away suspicious traffic.
10. Business use
MyOps is made for business use by adults. It is not intended for children.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may change as MyOps develops. If we make a significant change, such as a change to how your information is stored or used, we will let you know and ask you to accept it before continuing to use MyOps, in the same way as the Beta Terms of Use.
